On the Radar: Jacob Holston

Jacob Holston launched in 2010 for the purpose of pushing the boundaries surrounding menswear by designing timeless and luxurious pieces while maintaining their rugged vibe and affordability — SCORE!

Every season, they introduce modern nuances while reminding us how menswear can be interesting, classic and edgy, incorporating the best stitches and the finest quality of yarns. From go-to, high quality basics in silk and cashmere to shorts, pants and sweaters, the collection offers many must-haves for the man aspiring to complete his essential winter wardrobe — or to find those various basics to fill the gaps. (I especially love the striped cardigan and hoodie combo in the image above.)

The JH design team is inspired by the combined love for knitwear, travel and adventure. And while wearing these inspired numbers, you’ll definitely be wanting to go on some sort of escapade. (Or perhaps battling the elements in the city is enough. With the thermostats running down to frigid degrees, simply a trip to the fireplace, radiator or bed covered in three feet of blankets should be explored.)

Pieces range from $100 to $260 and can be found at Fred Segal, Wool & Whiskey, NY Moda, Atrium NY and other menswear boutiques. Check out the entire fall 2012 collection at JacobHolston.com.
